  • Where is Sierra Woods Apartments located?

    Sierra Woods Apartments is located in the Tahoe Basin area, just 2 miles from Downtown Sparks and only 3 stoplights from Reno. Residents enjoy convenient access to dining, shopping, medical centers, regional parks, and major area attractions.

  • What is the neighborhood like?

    Sierra Woods offers a relaxed residential setting with easy access to everyday essentials and entertainment. Within about 3 miles, residents can reach major shopping centers, restaurants, medical facilities, parks, and outdoor recreation areas like Sparks Marina and Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

  • Is this location commuter-friendly?

    Yes. Sierra Woods is located near major roadways and several USA Parkway shuttle pickup points. The community is also close to Reno-Tahoe International Airport and major employment hubs like Reno Tahoe Industrial Center.

  • What amenities are offered?

    Sierra Woods offers a wide range of community amenities including a seasonal swimming pool, on-site gym, beach volleyball court, covered parking, mature landscaping with large grass areas, nightly on-site security patrol, on-site management, and 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

  • What are some in-unit features?

    Apartments feature open floor plans, large open kitchens with quartz countertops, oversized patios (in select units), air conditioning, and a full-size washer and dryer in every apartment.

  • Is there air conditioning?

    Yes. All apartments include air conditioning to keep your home comfortable year-round.

  • Is there covered or off-street parking?

    Yes. Covered parking is available for residents within the community.

  • Is laundry included in the unit?

    Yes. Every apartment includes a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience.

  • Is this property pet-friendly?

    Absolutely! We’re pet-friendly and happy to welcome up to two pets per apartment, with no breed or weight restrictions.

  • What are the income and rental requirements?

    Applicants must earn at least 2.5x the monthly rent (3x for co-signers) and have 9 months of good rental history in the past 2 years. Don’t meet our income or rental history requirements? Talk with a leasing agent to see how you can still qualify with us!

  • How do I apply?

    You can apply online through our Apartments page by selecting your preferred unit.

  • Is there an application fee?

    Yes. Each adult (18 or older) must submit a separate application, along with a non-refundable $100 application fee per person. Once approved, a $250 holding deposit is required in person within 48 hours to secure your unit. All application and holding fees are applied towards your move-in cost, making it even more affordable to make Sherwood your new home. 

  • What costs will I have to pay when I move in?

    A full month of rent plus your security deposit is due upon move in. Move-in specials, application fees, and holding fees are all applied towards this total cost.

  • What will my security deposit be?

    Standard security deposits start at $600 (if all rental requirements are met). Security deposits can increase depending on rental history and income qualifications. Speak to a leasing agent for more details.
